The trip was an adventure. Tame and civilized in South Africa our tour broke down as we became unaccompanied and in confusion at the airport from the Botswana area north. Only two group members were left behind but that was unconsciousable. The tour in Kenya and Tanzania was very well escorted by George Killas. The weather threw our travel troubles but our drivers persevered. In all I had a great adventure.
Overall the trip was excellent. The tour directors were great! Couldn't have done better. If there was a problem or scheduling issue they both did a great job of getting everything in to meet everyone's desires. The game drives, drivers, and national parks visited as well as activities were tremendous for exceeding all expectations! It was great. Only one lodging accommodation was average and not so much from the facilities themselves but maintenance. Lions Rock showers in mosts of the guests tents were not properly sealed making them unusable even after bring them to the owners attention. The rest of the facilities were great! The Serena properties met and exceeded everything. Their tented camp was spectacular! Again our tour guides, Delvin Whitehead and Hoti Fortuitues were terrific! Could not have ask for two better guides.
Our tour directors for both South Africa (Norbert) and Kenya and Tanzania (David) were Outstanding. They had vast knowledge on the countries and the animals that we saw during our game drives. The accommodations were excellent, and the meals were great!
The reason that I give 4 stars to this trip is the last day travel from Masai Mara all the way to Nairobi. The ride was treacherous, it was not only long but also it was in a land cruiser which was very bumpy. I suggests the last leg of the trip should have been done by air.
